Meath Home and Community Support Service
Enable Ireland provide a Home and Community Support Service to people with primarily physical and sensory disabilities living in County Meath.
Enable Ireland provide a support service to people with primary physical and sensory disabilities living in Co. Meath. The main focus of service provision is personal support needs in the home. The support service also provides assistance with accessing services in the community e.g. attending medical, therapy appointments and social and leisure activities.
Meath home support service also provides assisted living support on a 24 x 7 day per week basis, to individuals living in the Navan Community and the Bailis Apartment complex, Johnstown, Navan.
Enable Ireland works in partnership with the HSE to provide support services in the Navan area. The home and community support service is funded by the HSE. The contract for service is agreed by the HSE and the individual service user and provided by Enable Ireland Meath Adult Service.
The support staff provide the service user with the support they require to live lives of their choosing in their own community. The working relationship is unique and individual to each particular service user. The support worker facilitates the service user in all aspects of daily living.
Catherine Hughes, Service coordinator has the overall responsibility for the day to day running of the support Services in the Meath area.
June Fegan, Team Leader deals with calls and queries and is point of contact for the service for both staff and service users and takes responsibility for the completion of weekly rotas and general support to the team.
