Limerick City Centre Hub is a newly established Adult Day Service located on Henry Street, right in the heart of Limerick City. The service offers a non-residential day service Monday-Friday for adults that have a primary intellectual disability and/or Autism.
Limerick City Centre Hub is a newly established Adult Day Service located on Henry Street, right in the heart of Limerick City. The service offers a non-residential day service Monday-Friday for adults that have a primary intellectual disability and/or Autism.
We offer a mix of centre-based activities including Cooking, Exercise, Money Management and Arts & Crafts. We also encourage everyone to get involved in the local community by using facilities like the gym, swimming pool, recreational parks, sports facilities and public transport.
Our goal is to support each person to set their own goals, develop their strengths and take the next steps toward the future they want. We do this by providing learning opportunities that build confidence, skills and independence such as travel training, opening a bank account, further education, etc.
The service is currently available to individuals who meet the following access criteria:
• Have a mild to moderate intellectual disability and/or ASD.
• Have mild to moderate physical care and support needs.
• Are aged over 18 years.
• Are primarily resident in the HSE CHO3 area.
• Take part in an initial assessment meeting to determine if the service can meet identified needs.
You can get a referral from the HSE Occupational Guidance Officers who are based in South west Wing, St. Joseph’s Hospital, Mulgrave Street for all Midwest referrals.
