Mungret Day Service, Limerick
The Enable Ireland Limerick Adult Day Services Centre offers a non-residential, five-day week service.
We offer activities that are both community and centred based. These include Physiotherapy, Hydrotherapy, Music Therapy, Poetry, Cooking and arts and crafts. We also support and encourage individuals to access the local community. We strive to promote independence throughout our service which improves quality of life for each service owner. We aim to ensure that each service owner discovers their own dreams and that their personal goals are achieved.
We currently provide services, including transport, to 50 service users with a primary physical disability and are able to cater to individuals who require nursing supports.
School leavers aged over 18 years with primary physical and sensory disabilities are eligible for services.
You can get a referral from the HSE Occupational Guidance Officers who are based in South west Wing, St. Joseph’s Hospital, Mulgrave Street for all Midwest referrals.
Enable Ireland service owner Jessica Keegan released her very first book of poetry earlier in the year. Jessica attends our adult services in Quinn’s Cross, Limerick where she also hosts weekly poetry sessions. ‘My Angels & Demons’ is available for purchase for €10 from Enable Ireland Limerick Adult Services in Mungret.
